The inaugural PartyPoker Ontario Poker Championships are in full swing, and already more than two dozen Ontarians have become poker champions. However, so far, nobody has won more prize money from a single Ontario Poker Championships event than “Phenom7,” who scooped an impressive $7,530 in one event!

That prize should be blown out of the water once the $50,000 guaranteed Ontario Poker Championships Main Event crowns its champion on September 27.

Ontario Poker Championships #02-HR 7-Max Final Table Results

Event #02-HR saw 43 PartyPoker players buy in for $530 and fight it out for a share of the $25,000 prize pool. Nine places were paid, with “girls5eva” being the player who crashed out in tenth place and was the last player to go home empty-handed as they popped the money bubble.

Their untimely exit locked up a min-cash of $1,267 for the surviving nine players. “GitandSos” and “GirlzNightIn” fell in ninth and eighth-place and secured the aforementioned $1,267.

“Sucra74” was the first casualty of the seven-handed final table, a finish worth $1,368. They are set for another sizeable prize because Sucra74 finds themselves in the top ten chip counts of the $109 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed Main Event! What an incredible run they are on.

“Irishpoet” and “ALHAMDULILLAH” were the next players eliminated. They saw their PartyPoker account balances swell by $1,542 and $1,783, respectively. The same the eliminations of “Iron1557” and “Snoozing.” The ever-increasing pay jumps meant these two grinders walked away with stacks of Canadian dollars weighing in at $2,305 and $3,193.

The final two players neglected to strike a deal despite a difference in prize money of almost $2,800. This meant “CardDeadNit” had to console themselves with a $4,739 runner-up prize, leaving Phenom7 to win the event and the $7,530 first-place payout.

Ontario Poker Championships #22-HR 7-Max Final Table Results

Another High Roller affair ended in a heads-up chop with only two of the 31 entrants remaining. Those 31 starters created a guarantee-busting $15,500 prize pool, and the final two players shared almost $9,000!

Before that happened, Iron1557, the fourth-place finisher in the above mentioned tournament, added a $1,178 sixth-place prize to their lifetime results. “RaiseUpBlind,” “burdd,” and “crotalus” joined the list of busted players, the latter seeing their $530 investment become a chunkier $2,354.

Heads-up ended with the final two players making a deal for the remaining prize money. ALHAMDULILLAH, who finished fifth in the tournament above, officially finished second for $4,278, with “Demarvelous” crowned champion, an accolade that came with $4,616 and the title of champion.
