PartyPoker Ontario is the place to be from June 11-26 if you love getting your grind on in affordable yet value-packed online poker tournament. Keep your diaries free during those dates because that is when the inaugural Micro Series takes place; you do not want to miss it.
To say we are excited about the Micro Series is an understatement; we cannot wait for the first event to shuffle up and deal on June 11. By the time the final Micro Series tournament takes place on June 26, some 88 numbered events, some with up to three buy-in levels, will have taken place, and Ontarians will have padded their bankroll with a share of combined guaranteed prize pools tipping the scales at $200,000.
Most numbered events have a trio of buy-in levels: Low, Mid, and High, although a select few have been chosen for Super High status! There is a Micro Series event for everyone, with buy-ins starting at a super low $0.11, increasing to $265, and with several levels between those extremes.
PartyPoker Ontario players will have their skills tested to the fullest across a range of tournament formats, including 6-Max, 7-Max, and 8-Max events, Progressive Knockout tournaments, Deepstack structures, Super Deepstacks, turbos, and hyper-turbos in No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha guises.
Two Massive Micro Series Main Events
Of course, no series would be complete without a grand finale, a Main Event. The Micro Series at PartyPoker Ontario has two Main Events, with both played as a PKO tournament.
The $5.50 buy-in Micro Series #87-L comes with a $3,000 guaranteed prize pool, while the $55 buy-in Micro Series #87-H boasts $25,000 guaranteed.
Both Main Events have several flights running daily at 18:05 p.m. and 20:30 p.m. ET from June 11 through June 25, with all surviving players returning to the tables on June 26 to conclude the tournaments.
In addition to a plethora of satellites for the $55 buy-in Micro Series Main Event, there are 12 tournaments, each costing $11 to enter, that have at least one $55 seat added to their prize pool. These dozen events are clearly marked in the PartyPoker Ontario tournament lobby.
Other Micro Series Highlights
As with many of our other poker tournament festivals, the Micro Series kicks off with the opener events, or PKOpener as we have called them this time around. Starting at 17:05 ET on June 11 are the $0.55 buy-in $50 guaranteed low edition, the $11 buy-in $1,500 guaranteed medium edition, and the $55 buy-in high that has a cool $5,000 guaranteed to be won.
A couple of hours later, at 19:05 ET on June 11, there is a $109 buy-in High Roller 7-Max that guarantees not a cent less than $10,000 in the pot, the third-largest guarantee of the series.
The second-largest guarantee weighs in at $12,500, and is reserved for the $265 buy-in Super High Roller 7-Max PKO at 19:05 ET on June 26. Satellites for both of these huge tournaments are available for as little as $0.01.
