The latest Ontario Poker Championships is underway at PartyPoker Ontario, bringing with it dozens of action-packed multi-table tournaments that have combined guaranteed prize pools tipping the scales at $500,000! In addition to no fewer than 14 events having five-figure prize pools, there is a wealth of promotions revolving around the Ontario Poker Championships that make this series the best value in the province of Ontario.

Two of the biggest tournaments have crowned their champions, but there are many more opportunities to pad your PartyPoker Ontario bankroll with plenty of cash. “Snoozing” captured a $5,967 prize after taking down the $530 buy-in 7-Max High Roller, while “CanadianKidd” won $4,679, including bounties, from the $109 Big Sunday C-Note PKO, which Snoozing finished third in for $1,210.

In the Big Sunday C-Note, we awarded a $22 Big Sunday 150 Mega Satellite ticket to every player that did not finish inside the money places! With 176 entrants and 31 spots paid, that means 145 PartyPoker Ontario players gained a free shot at qualifying for the Big Sunday 150 on April 9.

Battle in the $20,000 Guaranteed Big Sunday 150

The Big Sunday 150 at 19:00 EST is another tournament featuring plenty of added extras. Fail to finish in the money places, and we will credit your account with a $265 Main Event Mega Sat ticket worth $33! It is a brilliant offer, to say the least. The Big Sunday 150 is the second-largest, in terms of the guaranteed prize pool, event on the Ontario Poker Championships schedule. Costing $162 to enter ($150+$12), the event has a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool, and a fantastic blind structure that allows the cream to rise to the top.

Your other chance to secure a free satellite ticket for not reaching the money places comes in the $265 buy-in Ontario Poker Championships Main Event PKO. The first Day 1 took place on April 3, and there are more flights scheduled for April 7, April 10, April 14, April 17, and April 18, before the champion is crowned on April 19.

$50,000 Guaranteed Ontario Poker Championships Main Event

Main Event players begin their quest for glory armed with 100,000 chips, play to an eight-minute clock where the blinds and antes start at 400/800/100a. Each flight ends when only the top 15% of the field remains, with that top 15% of finishers progressing to Day 2 with a min-cash in tow.

Players are permitted to play in as many Day 1s as they wish, but only their largest stack is taken through to the final day should they progress more than once. In addition, players are only permitted to receive one free $55 The Super Sunday 50 ticket, which is awarded to the top five players that miss out on making Day 2.

Satellites From Only $0.01

PartyPoker Ontario wants as many players as possible to enjoy the excitement created around the biggest and richest Ontario Poker Championships events. Of course, not everyone has the bankroll that allows them to jump into $109, $162, $215, $265, and $530 buy-in events at the drop of a hat. This is where our satellites come in.

Our industry-famous centrolls run around the clock, giving you the chance to turn a single Canadian cent into a shot at the big time. Each year, dozens of your fellow PartyPoker players turn $0.01 into a chance of competing for big bucks; will you be the next Ontarian to do it?

You may also want to consider entering our Ontario Poker Championship edition SPINS. These $2 buy-in jackpot sit & go tournaments usually award their winner $4 in cash, but they also dish out tickets worth up to $265 and even $530 if Lady Luck is shining down on you.
